Tessera

Deleting your data

Version of 16 September 2026

The app is Tessera; the developer is Maksim Kuznetsov, sole proprietor. This page explains how to delete your data and what exactly gets deleted.

First things first: the diary is stored on your phone and never reaches us — not the entries, not the photos, not the voice notes. You erase them yourself, and we are not involved.

1. Delete the diary

Entries, photos and voice notes live in your phone’s storage.

  1. Open the app.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap “Delete all data” and confirm twice.

Everything in the diary is erased from the device for good. Deleting the app does the same.

2. Delete the cloud copy

A copy appears on the server only if you switched it on yourself. It is encrypted on your phone, and we cannot read it.

  1. Open the app.
  2. Go to Settings → Cloud backup.
  3. Switch it off.

The copy is erased from the server at that moment. It remains, still encrypted, in the server's nightly backups for up to 14 days and disappears along with them.

3. Delete what we hold on the server

That is the installation identifier, anonymous events and any support correspondence. To have them deleted, write to us.

  1. Easiest from inside the app: Settings → Support. Write “please delete my data”. We will then see which installation you mean and will not need to ask.
  2. If the app is already uninstalled: write to support@tessera-app.ru. Tell us roughly when you used the app, so that we know what to look for.

We stop processing and delete the data within ten working days of the request; if we need up to five working days more, we will tell you why. Deleted data drops out of the server's nightly backups within 14 days. If you are simply asking whether we hold your data at all, we answer within the same ten working days.

If you never wrote to support, we will not be able to find your data on request: it is tied to no email, no name and no phone number. The installation identifier is created at random on the device itself and changes on reinstall — uninstalling the app breaks that link for good. Writing from inside the app, while it is still installed, is the one way we can be sure which installation is yours.

4. What gets deleted

5. What is kept, and for how long

A log entry recording the deletion itself is kept for one year: it is the only evidence that your request was carried out.

Nothing else remains. We hold no diary at all, and an encrypted cloud copy you have switched off also drops out of the server's nightly backups within 14 days.
